You get laughed at for doing certain things like...being original. The reason why people laugh when you are trying to be original is because they feel like if you are not dressed like everyone else, you look funny. But the ones who are original are the ones who get the most notification. Being original is definitely not a bad thing. Originality is the best thing you can have, when you are original you become sort of a " trendsetter", and people follow. So, don't let people put you down for being "original". "You do you, and let other people do them".
